About Cycle-Aligned Nutrition

I suffered from period and hormone issues for most of my life. For years, I struggled with extremely painful, heavy periods, severe PMS, fatigue, and mood swings. Despite tests, ultrasounds, and countless doctor visits, I was often left without clear answers or real solutions. Like many women, I learned to cope with what was available, but nothing addressed the root issues.

Over the last decade, I researched extensively how nutrition supports the menstrual cycle. I learned that the menstrual cycle is a source of biological information, not something to ignore or push through. Hormonal shifts influence energy, appetite, mood, digestion, and nutrient needs throughout the month, and those needs change from week to week.

I was able to support my hormones by adding more targeted, phase-supportive foods. Today, my periods are lighter and far less painful. PMS is no longer part of my experience, and my moods are stable throughout the entire luteal phase. I focus on supporting estrogen in the first half of my cycle to rebuild energy, and on progesterone support and estrogen metabolism in the second half through nutrition. The difference has been life-changing for me.
